1. Delhi Police Constable (Executive) Details

This is the most popular post with the highest number of vacancies (approx 7,565). It is open for both Male and Female candidates.

  • Eligibility: 12th Pass (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • Driving License: Male candidates must possess a valid LMV (Motorcycle or Car) License on the date of PE&MT. (Learner License is not accepted).
  • Exam Pattern:
    • GK/Current Affairs: 50 Marks (Major Focus).
    • Reasoning: 25 Marks.
    • Maths: 15 Marks.
    • Computer: 10 Marks.
    • Total: 100 Questions, 90 Minutes.

2. Head Constable Ministerial (HCM) Details

This is a purely clerical desk job (Office Work). There is no heavy field duty like Constable. It is best for students who are good at typing.

  • Eligibility: 12th Pass (Intermediate).
  • Typing Requirement: English Typing @ 30 wpm OR Hindi Typing @ 25 wpm.
  • Exam Pattern:
    • General Awareness: 20 Marks.
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Marks.
    • General Intelligence: 25 Marks.
    • English Language: 25 Marks.
    • Computer Fundamentals: 10 Marks.
    • Total: 100 Marks (90 Minutes).

3. Head Constable (AWO/TPO) Details

AWO (Assistant Wireless Operator) / TPO (Tele-Printer Operator) is a technical post involving communication systems. Only Science students are eligible.

  • Eligibility: 12th Pass with Science & Mathematics as subjects OR NTC Certificate in Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.
  • Exam Pattern (No Negative Marking*):
    • General Awareness: 20 Marks.
    • General Science: 25 Marks (Physics & Chemistry).
    • Mathematics: 25 Marks.
    • Reasoning: 20 Marks.
    • Computer: 10 Marks.

4. Constable (Driver) Details

This post is only for Male candidates who have experience in driving heavy vehicles.

  • Eligibility: 12th Pass + Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) License.
  • Trade Test: Driving test (Forward, Reverse, Parking) carries 150 Marks and is qualifying in nature.
  • Exam Pattern:
    • Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules: 50 Marks.
    • GK: 20 Marks.
    • Reasoning: 20 Marks.
    • Maths: 10 Marks.

Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT)

All candidates who qualify in the Computer Based Exam must clear the Physical Test. The standards are strict.
