SSC MTS Exam Date 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially commenced the SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) and Havaldar Examination 2025. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) is scheduled to be conducted on specific dates in February 2026. As per the latest update, admit cards have been issued for candidates whose exams are scheduled for 04 February and 05 February 2026. Candidates are advised to log in to the new official website ssc.gov.in to check their exact shift and reporting time.

SSC MTS Shift Timings 2026 (Detailed)

The examination is being conducted in 3 Shifts per day. It is mandatory to reach the center at least 1 hour before the exam starts.

Note: The exam duration is 90 Minutes (1.5 Hours). Visually handicapped candidates will get extra time.

How to Download SSC MTS Admit Card?

Admit cards are generally released 4 days before your specific exam date. For example, if your exam is on Feb 9, your admit card will be available on Feb 5.

1. Visit the official website: ssc.gov.in/login.
2. Enter your Registration Number and Password.
3. Go to the “Admit Card” section on your dashboard.
4. Look for “Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025”.
5. Click on “Download Admit Card”.

Quick Revision: Exam Pattern

Before entering the exam hall, remember the negative marking rules.

• Session 1 (Maths & Reasoning): 40 Questions, 120 Marks. NO Negative Marking. (Just qualify this section).
• Session 2 (GK & English): 50 Questions, 150 Marks. Negative Marking: -1 Mark for every wrong answer. (Merit is based ONLY on this session).

SSC MTS Selection Process 2025 (ఎంపిక విధానం)

The selection process for SSC MTS and Havaldar posts is simple but strict. Candidates must understand that the final merit list is based ONLY on Session 2 marks.

• Stage 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE): Common for both MTS and Havaldar posts.
• Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST): Only for Havaldar posts.
• Stage 3: Document Verification (DV): Conducted by the User Department after final results.

Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy (ప్రిపరేషన్ ప్లాన్)

Since Session 1 (Maths & Reasoning) is only qualifying and has NO negative marking, your main focus should be on Session 2 (GK & English) which has high negative marking (-1 mark).

1. General Awareness (GK) – The Game Changer

This section is vast, but you can score well if you study smartly.

• Current Affairs: Read last 6-8 months of current affairs (Awards, Sports, Appointments, Government Schemes).
• Static GK: Focus on Folk Dances, Festivals, National Parks, Rivers, and Temples of India. SSC asks 4-5 questions from these topics.
• Science: Basic Biology and Chemistry questions from 10th class level.

2. English Language – The Scoring Section

Many Telugu medium students fear English, but SSC MTS English is easy compared to CGL.

• Vocabulary: Synonyms, Antonyms, and One-word substitutions alone carry 10-12 marks. Study “Blackbook of Vocabulary” or previous year papers.
• Grammar: Focus on Prepositions, Articles, and Tenses. Solving “Cloze Test” daily is mandatory.

Havaldar Physical Test Details (PET/PST)

If you have applied for the Havaldar post, you must clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It is qualifying in nature.

Note: Walking test is very easy. Almost everyone qualifies. However, height and chest measurements are strict.

Documents Required for Verification

After the results, shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification. Keep these ready:

• 10th Class Marksheet: Original Certificate is mandatory. (Name and DOB must match Aadhaar).
• Caste Certificate: OBC/EWS/SC/ST certificate in Central Government format. (State format is NOT accepted).
• ID Proof: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID.
• Photographs: 2-4 recent passport size photos.
